Kayla was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii. She has been involved in all types of sports from a young age, from soccer to bodyboarding and now into surfing. Recently Kayla has been surfing a lot at Honolua bay, but she has three other favorite spots, "Lahaina Harbor, Windmills and Honokohau bay". When the surf is good you can bet that she will be at one of those places! This blog is dedicated to her ongoing career in water sports as well as soccer.

Kayla's Bio

"Aloha, I'm Kayla Eubank ,
I was born on the beautiful island of Maui and I'm 21 years old. My favorite thing in life right now is surfing.
Anything that has to do with surfing keeps me happy. for instance if there's no waves I'll be on Surfline , SNN, or WSSM to see the new shots and videos they got going on.If I've seen all that next is OC16 or Fuel tv to check the news with surfer's around the world.

The person who got me into surfing is my dad.He's taught everyone in my family how to surf.I've been surfing off and on since I was ten.Soccer was my main sport during school years so I kept pretty occupied with that. If I wasn't playing soccer I was at the beach. I used to be real into bodyboarding for about 3 years. Thats when I learned alot about the ocean. How to read the wave and where to sit so you can catch more waves.

My secret is (insiders).If i paddle out to the bay and sit on the inside I catch 8 waves to every 1 wave on the outside.That's my theory and It keeps me happy. I really didn't get into short boarding till I graduated high school in 2005.Ever since then I've devoted most of my time to surfing.I've gradually started to play tennis and basket ball but surfing blows them outta the water.

My favorite surf spot is honolua bay, being a reagular footer you can't beat those long perfect rights and there's plenty of places to sit.my favorite thing to do on a wave is a floater then into a nice hack on the close out section.nothing is more satisfying to me right now.Something I'm working on is barrels.I used to get barreled all day long on a bodyboard but on a shortboard It's a whole different story.

The board I ride is a 5"10 boysen,from Dusty Payne thanks Dusty.I think his boards are magic(obviously) ever since I got it my surfing has much improved .I usually buy used boards from everyone thats been sponsored. but one day I'll have boards that say kayla eubank.
